Description

Description:

Dissociation, defined as the breaking down of global experiences into their component elements, is a key aspect of hypnosis. Dissociation gives birth to some of the most exciting clinical applications of hypnosis, such as pain treatment and memory revivification. Dissociation also allows for recommended answers to appear seemingly spontaneously, a very beneficial phenomenon known as automaticity. In this session, we will look at the therapeutic functions of dissociation and automaticity, as well as practice producing a “automatic” reaction.

Objectives of Education:

Dissociation and its function in hypnotic response are defined and discussed.
Describe your clinical response experience with therapeutic dissociations from automaticity.
To develop an automatic reaction, sequence a hypnotherapy session.
